SweetBerry Farms and Birthdays

We have been talking about going to a pumpkin patch and couldn't find a good one close. The first pumpkin patch we took Jones to blew..... It was a roadside pick, literally in a ditch, choose from 5 pumpkins, take your picture on a hay bale. So glad Jones was only 1 and didn't care.

I found the perfect one close to Austin and it worked out great that Josh and Bri could meet us. It was awesome! It was Bri's birthday and we were so happy she chose to spend her special day with us!

We stopped in Marble Falls for lunch and Nawna got to meet us! We ate at the bluebonnet cafe and it was soooooo yummy!

The pumpkin patch we went to was huge. They had everything you could wish for in a pumpkin patch!
Goats! Bri loved the goats! Almost as much as Jones!

They had a tractor choo choo! Bri loved on the goats while Jones rode a ride!

Face paint! He asked me if he was going to be superman forever. He was pretty sad when I told him it would wash off......

You could pick wild flowers, stuff a scarecrow, we went through a huge Texas corn maze.

Took lots and lots of face shots. Jones was obsessed with his face.
Rode a horse!

Had a 10 acre selection on pumpkins and they had the best strawberry lemonade!

It was a fun day! When we got home we were so tired. Jones slept like a baby that night and has talked about the pumpkin patch all week. Sweet berry farms you did not disappoint!

Bri, I hope you had a fun filled birthday!!!

October???

Is it really October? This year has been one big ole blur that seems like it has dragged on forever but how on earth is it October?

Nannie and Daddo came to visit! Jones got to love on Nannie and he was very protective of her. He wouldn't let her out of his sight. He loves his Nannie!

We have hunts lined up every week till Thanksgiving. Cody's been busy checking game cameras and jones loves all the pictures of big bucks!
I think Jones is a little bummed he's not as involved at the new ranch as the old ranch but he gets in on the excitement some!
He helped Cody do a little scouting before our 2nd group of hunters came!

We had some down time and it was nice!

Jason and Whitney invited us to tag along with them to Fredericksburg. I love that town! We had a fun day trip and Jones loves all the time he gets with Jason and Whitney!

First Hunt Shenanigans!

Jones always turns into a cuddle bug the day before we send him off to spend time with the Grands. He is always excited to go but gets in enough cuddles and kisses to last his time away. I was going to help Whitney cook for the hunters so we decided it would be best to send J to ETX while I learned the ropes.

Friday after I picked him up for school we headed to ETX for the drop off. Grammy and Papa Jones met us halfway. We were kidless and no plans for a night and we took full advantage!
Saturday our first hunters of the season were to show so Friday night Cody needed to do a little scouting. We scouted till dark and then ventured out for a date! I asked our neighbors what they suggested and they told us about a steakhouse about 20 miles away. It was in a feed store..........

It was the cutest little place with the best homegrown steaks EVER in all the lands of feed stores, ha! I had a handsome date, a good meal and much needed time alone with my man. I had a rough week last week and I needed to regroup and breathe and let go.

Jones of course had a fun week. He's getting more and more comfortable around old tame dogs, ha!

We have been so blessed in Brady. We work with the sweetest peeps and we all have such a great time when we get together. Our first hunters did not disappoint. They were a pleasure to be around. We ate way to much and it was so yummy!
The boys of the ranch!
Deer camp is all that it's cracked up to be here!
All in all we couldn't have asked for a better first hunt in a very new place!
And we were so excited to get this little boy back home!
