Father's Day 2016

Jones and I ventured to the local feed store/clothing boutique, ha, and picked up matching "Farm Boy" shirts for the boys to wear on Father's Day.  Cody took half the day off and we headed to San Antonio for the day.  Cody wanted Seafood and I just wanted to hang out with both my boys.
We ate at Pappadeaux's then came back to the house and relaxed by our 5 star pool amenities!  We all had a good nap and it was a nice relaxing day with both my boys!

Memorial Day Fun!

We ventured over to Utopia to show Nawna and Doodee the town.  We went and played golf and it was fun seeing all the stuff from the movie, 7 Days in Utopia.
We were hoping to make a pit stop at the Frio River in Concan, but with all the rain it was closed.  The river was up and raging!
Watching these 2 play golf is always a good time.  Even in the heat!

Cody brought home another rabbit.....This time Jones didn't cry when Cody took it back to him momma.
Jones rode back to ETX with Kim and Jed and we are kid-less for a few days! It's been fun sleeping in, watching what we want to watch on TV and not having to worry about feeding someone on a schedule!  We ventured over to San Antonio last night at 8:00 for a late dinner at a fancy smancy place.  It was a nice evening with my man drinking some refreshing Prosecco!

We Got Babies!

The due date for the fawns isn't until June 10th, but we bought a few does this year who had an earlier due date.  They are here! Momma had quads, but one was stillborn. One was tiny and had a low temp and our full time bottle feeding guy wasn't set to be here until that night, so we brought the baby home to our house.  We were scheduled to get a lot of rain that night, so Cody ended up getting the other too as well and Jones had a sleepover with them!

Jones loves this job as much as his daddy!

These guys are getting spoiled.  They get a whole month by themselves with all attention on them, ha!

Here's to the start of busy season!  Enjoying just these little one's before we get 200 more!!!!!!!

Mother's Day and Allergies and Stomach Bugs, oh my!

I had a fun Mother's Day weekend.  My boys never disappoint and honor me and take care of me more than one day a year, but this one day a year just always seems extra special.  Jones wanted to get me a pokemon shirt, go golfing, and cook pizza.  I axed the pokemon shirt, compromised on topgolf and said no to pizza!
We had sushi instead and Jones loves him some fried rice!
Jones' pediatrician wanted him to get an allergy test done.  This kid is allergic to strawberries, high fructose corn syrup and food dyes....which I already knew AND he's allergic to beef.......  That explains why he won't eat meat!

I got the stomach bug while we were in Brownwood at a deer banquet.  The evening was fun but when we got back to the hotel it hit me.  I spent the night on the bathroom floor and had to get in a car for a 5 hour drive back to Pearsall the next day.  Jones was so mad I was not in a seat belt but I was desperate to lay down the whole way home. It lasted about 24 hours then I was good to go.  Jones got it a few days later.  I set him up a pallet on the bathroom floor too.  He would wake to throw up every hour and in between hurls he would nap on the floor.  I set up camp in our extra bedroom.  I kept the hall light on and had a clear view of him all night.  He would wake me when he had to throw up, I would clean him up and we would both go back to sleep.  We did this till 6:00 am and then we were able to sleep till 10:00.  We were both exhausted the next day and he still wasn't 100%.

I'm in the process of getting certified  to teach and in my spare time do my studies online.  I was able to get a lot knocked off the to do list that day.  He wanted to cuddle all day and didn't want me out of that chair.  He got cuddles and I got homework done!  Win, Win!
For some reason Cody couldn't resist the cuddles while J was sick and he came down with the stomach virus too.....  Jones took it like a champ....Cody, not so much.  BIG BABY! It took Cody 3 days to recover, ha!  Love you babe, but you are not good at being sick!
My world right here. There is nothing sweeter than these 2 souls.
