Buckmaster's, Bucks and Good decisions.

We got to go back to Brownwood a couple weeks ago for Buckmasters banquet. It was fun and LONG. Cody got to meet this guy! Mr. buckmaster's himself. Our ranch hosted 2 handicap children last year and they got an award and their kills back, fully mounted!

We have had lots of bad weather in Pearsall. We have spent way to many minutes in the hall......... Jones is the little weather natzi. He has been wanting to watch the news and weather over cartoons every night.
We went car shopping the other day. We fell in love with the new Tahoe........... Dave Ramsey would not be very proud of us. I'm bummed because they don't make hummers anymore. I can't see myself driving anything else now. I drive in the rain in my bad boy... That's a big deal to me. I feel safe and comfortable in it........ No car payment is great!!!!! In mid car looking a huge storm hit San Antonio, flash flooding etc. we didn't want to get stuck in SA so we hurried out of the city. It was a good decision. Had we not left we would have been stranded in water probably in a new Tahoe. Ha! On the way home I felt good about not getting a new vehicle and decided to drive mine till it goes kapoot.
Cody and Jones spent the next day giving my ride a tune up and an oil change! I keep chanting " just because you can afford it doesn't mean you need it!!!!" Sometimes being an adult is no fun, ha

Cody is fitting in well at the new ranch and his job.... Jones is too! Jones has fallen in love with the deer and they seem to have mutual feeling towards him!

Babies should be dropping soon! We will be bottle feeding 100 fawns this summer! Cody, Jones and I will be doing lots of traveling this summer so we were lucky to get a few people in for the summer to strictly bottle feed and look over the fawns.....score!

Mother's Day 2015

Since we are still houseless for the moment, I jumped at the chance to house sit/ babysit for our Aunt and Uncle while they went on Vacay. 6 days in East Texas, Jones got in house playmates, I got a comfy bed and a gorgeous view!

And I got ALL these rug rats!
Our fist day was busy. Pickup from school, gymnastics, batting practice and dinner in the back of the car during all the chaos. It was fun and Jones enjoyed the change.
When I had agreed to this I didn't realize Mother's Day was during this time...... So I made me some Mother's Day cupcakes!
Took the kids to an indoor jump park.
Slip-n-slid it up!!!
Jumped jumped and more jumped.

Wore a monkey out.........

Then.......

Complete devastation to the little town of Van. I was prepared for bad weather and had the kids sleep downstairs in the living room. Soon after all the kids were asleep my phone starts blowing up. My aunt had gotten an alert on her phone about a tornado warning, my phone was going crazy telling me to take cover and Cody was in Pearsall giving me weather updates too. I woke the kids and put them under the stairs in a closet. Annabelle never woke up. I just scooped her up and layed her back down in the closet. Nannie and dado came over to. I felt safe under the stairs. I was texting Cody's family in town and my MIL tells me they are hunkered down in the bathroom and something was definitely going on at their house...... Several minutes later wind, rain, hail all came full force. After it was over I texted my MIL and their house had damage and 3 huge 50-100 year old trees were down and 1 was on their house. Luckily they didn't take a direct hit and most of their damage was from debri and 100 mile an hour winds. Their neighborhood was not so lucky.......

Round two was supposed to hit within 30 minutes.......with another tornado possible. Luckily it skipped Van and hit the next community to its northwest. After round 2, no one in town had cell service...... Cody was freaking out cause he was in Pearsall and I was freaking out cause I couldn't get ahold of Kim or Jed. All I knew was the stuff on fb that I was reading and it wasn't good.....

Hers the tornado path. Me and the kids were at the top of the M where it says 9 miles...........

Nannie and Daddo celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary while I was down!

Cody was able to come down too to help with the cleanup. Van looks like a war zone and seeing everything in Van last week makes me think of Woodward and that tornado that hit while we were there. My hearts breaks thinking about it.

South Texas Heat.....

I thought east Texas heat/humidity was bad but good lawd south Texas is horrid. It's hard to breathe some days it's so muggy. We've tried to stay cool. This is the only pool I could find......

We have had crazy amounts of rain and lots of flooding. Five T-ball games have been cancelled so far because of rain... And school was cancelled one day from flooding.
We got season passes to sea world!!!!!! We are only 45 minutes away and Jones and I will be setting up shop there this summer!
Cody was able to go with us one day!
Jones had a blast!
We all had a blast!
We only went to one show and it was pretty magical. I cried....... I really really really want to swim with dolphins one day.
We've been staying busy with the deer too. Babies should be dropping before to long!

Bring it summer!
