October Happenings

Things have finally slowed down for Jones and I. Cody got all his helpers back, weaned 60ish fawns already and jones and I have been passing a bug back and forth, back and forth. The last 3 weekends we have been blah.

We ventured out yesterday for a bit to go see Cheif and came across a fawn with a huge thorn in his mouth....poor baby. We darted him and pulled it out.....ouch.

It was almost as long as Cody's finger....ouch.
That's the same thorn thing (off a mesquite tree?) that was on Jones' trampoline a few months back that got stuck in my head. I did a flip, didn't know there was a thorn stick and then Jones' eyes get huge. I thought it was just tangled in my hair, when I start pulling it, I pull it it some more and more and bam, it finally hit me I just pulled a 3 inch thorn out of my head. Then jones started screaming and hugging me making sure I was ok....poor thing.
Jones got to love on Chief while we dr. the fawn.
Pearsall had their homecoming!
We met up with some friends! We had a lot of fun.

And here came round 3 of the sickness.

Dove hunting and J is like this........huge red flag. By bedtime he had a fever:(

The day after his fever broke we had to get some sunshine! We skipped church again today to to make sure jones wouldn't pass his germs around to his friends. We went to the golf course instead!! It was a beautiful day!

Here's to a healthy week! We are tired of rotating sickness every weekend!

My Parental Motto

I know one thing for certain in this world. I am a good mom.

When Cody and I were "talking" babies, before there was a baby, I always told him this. I've always known what kind of mom I would be.....always.

Not sure if Cody and I have layed the law down perfectly or if our kid came out this good on his own but Jones is the best! And when you have the sweetest heart in the whole wide world, you should cater to that heart and try not to mess it up. It's scary to think sometimes, that The Lord trusted me with this special little one!

On days J wants to cuddle ALL day, we do.

On days J wants 30 foot rubs, he gets.

On days it's yucky outside and j wants to play in the tub for an hour and snack on cookies, we do.

And as much as we love on, kiss on and cater to his needs......we have to discipline him too and that's a whole another post!
