Deer 2015

 

We are up to 120 fawns and bottle feeding 99! Jones has his favorite fawns that love him. He named one Copper and one Cheif. We are hoping these two will be monsters:)!

It's been fun getting to know all the deer and letting them get used to us. They love Jones!

We had 9 new deer breeding pens built this summer and we got to see that process. It was pretty neat.

Every night we bring in new babies!

We had two sets of quintuplets....... Weird having 1 set but 2 was crazy!!!! This little one didn't even read anything on the scale. Jones gave her some extra TLC but she didn't make it. She was just too little.

We had to tranq and cut off a growth on a buck's antlers. It was cool and gross!!!!

We thought it would be full of blood but it was full of fluid.

Pearsall Happenings

Well, the torrential daily rainfall has come and gone and it left us with hot, humid, dry days. All the rain has slowed down our house process. Now that's its dry, we are hoping to be in our house within 3 weeks......fingers crossed.

It has been so hot Jones just falls out some days. We've been keeping enough water in our system but some days the heat is draining. Jones just sprawled out in the back of the ranger one day, ha.

We get to stay in during the hot part of the day and chill out in the air. He was a cuddle bug last week, which turned into sickness this week.......

We went back to seaworld again. Love that place. It's just not as fun on the weekend when they are busy........

Water is the the only thing that makes south Texas bearable.

Water sprinkler under the trampoline????? Yes, please!

AND.........we finally got our first baby! He was about two weeks early and a triplet. The other two were stillborn.....

This little guy has cheered up my lil guy this week while he was feeling poopy!
