Happy Birthday, Nawna!
If you don't know who The Rocketboys are, your missing out!
I’ll never settle down,
That’s what I always thought
Yeah, I was that kind of man,
just ask anyone
I don’t dance, But here I am
Spinning you around and around in circles
It Ain’t my style, but I don’t care
I’d do anything with you anywhere
Yes, you got me in the palm of your hand
Cause, I don’t dance
Love’s never come my way,
I’ve never been this far
Cause you took these two left feet
And waltzed away with my heart
No, I don’t dance, but here I am
Spinning you around and around in circles
It ain’t my style, but I don’t care
I’d do anything with you anywhere
Yes, you got me in the palm of your hand, girl
Cause, I don’t dance
I swam with my little guy today in his mini pool.
I cried the whole time.
Huge crocodile tears.
The ugly cry.
The cry that almost made my son go run for help he was so freaked out.
Today is the first day my child has sat Indian style.
I have put his legs like this before to see if they would bend that way, which usually ended in him being annoyed and running off to play a "kid game!"
My greatest fear while pregnant...........
Was passing my jacked up genes to my child.
I was born with a rare bone disease and blogged in depth about it a few years ago. Most people just thought I was bow legged growing up and I wouldn't correct them. It seemed easier this way. I could NOT sit Indian style! On the inside it just hurt. Walking hurt, running hurt, sitting hurt......
After 2 surgeries, a rod in my femur, 5 screws and 5 huge long scars on my leg, my legs are somewhat straight. Jones rubs them and ask me what happened. How do you explain that to a 3 year old?
Jones has been complaining of his legs hurting after he plays hard and that scares me.
It just made me pray harder.
Cody's wish is for Jones to be an athlete like him and play sports. If he does carry my genes he won't be able too.
It just made me pray harder.
Today felt like a huge victory in witnessing the smallest of things.
The Cassell's have been keeping us posted on the doggys and sending lots and lots of pictures:)
Daddy got him a pig the first night. Jones was so excited. He has never seen a wild hog. They are everywhere down here.
We had a fun 4th. They had a huge parade in town, we were invited to a big cookout and it was yummy and swam some more.
We ended the 4th with a fire in our new fire pit Cody finished and s'mores.
Our first week in Brady has not disappointed!
After we unloaded ALL of this in Brady, we got Jones' room all set up and headed east for a 2 week break!
We loaded up the dogs and we found the perfect home for them. We had been talking a lot about getting rid of them because Jones was deathly afraid. But we never really got on the ball until we moved. This was the perfect time to find them a good home. I would not have left them just anywhere and thankful they are being spoiled now.
Then we ventured over to Papa Jones and Grammy's house. Jones loves Grammy's bicycle!
We got to see cousins and first cousins and second cousins!
Cody and I got to venture off for a couple days to sleep in and relax.
We found a carnival at MiMi's and it was a lot of fun.
We played laser tag and I think I had a little too much fun. I kept wanting to go back and play again. It was THAT fun!
Tried out top golf for the first time. SO MUCH FUN! I don't play golf because I can never hit a ball but I was blasting them that night!
We had lots of back-porch-sitting time, watching/catching fire flies, drinking from the water hose and lots of family time.
We rested up from our big move!
Now all settled in in Brady! Cody's first official day was the 1st! I got our house all set up in record time(2 days) and I was wore out.
Excited to build our new life here!
