Bahamas 2016

Every year Cody and I talk about taking a big trip, but we never do..... This year we will celebrate 10 years of marriage and I wasn't taking no for an answer about going on a trip.  Our anniversary is in June and Cody's busy season starts in May, so I booked a trip for the first week in May!  I called a travel agent and gave her my must haves and she found the perfect spot for us!  I HATE flying and needed a direct flight.  I wanted to go back to our honeymoon spot but just couldn't do that stop in Miami and then get on another plane.  We ended up finding a direct flight to the Bahamas from Houston!  The flight there was bumpy bumpy.  There was a huge storm from Louisiana all the way down in the gulf, that we had to fly around.  It was not fun......

It was worth the flight after we finally landed. It was paradise!

We stayed at the Sandals Resort in Nassau and didn't have to leave the resort.  They had it all!  They even had an offshore secluded island about a mile away that we hung out during the day.  Cody swam with 100 year old sea turtles, and we got to snorkel over there.
 The water was breathtakingly beautiful!
 The food was yummy!
Why is the ocean so therapeutic?
The back side of the offshore island was very calm, and it wasn't nauseating snorkeling there. They had little beach huts that were comfy.
That had swings and hammocks. We sat there and watched a storm roll in one day.

We spent one day picking up seashells for J.  He loved them!  We found some pretty cool ones too.
Cody found a wedding ring in the ocean one day while snorkeling.  Its engraved and not sure how to go about finding its owner?
Out of all the loot we brought home for J, he loved out snorkeling gear the most.......

We can't wait 10 more years for a trip.  It was good for the soul and a much needed time away with my man!
