Farewell 2009

I am gonna miss 2009, just a little. A lot of things happened, good and bad, and it went by way to fast. Every year keeps moving faster and faster and it needs to slow down a bit. Here is our 2009 life changing events! ha

- I attended my last semester of college and studied more in that one semester than I did in all my other semesters' combined!

- We found out Cody got his dream job in a state I was not too thrilled about. It has turned out to be the greatest decision we have made and the best move yet!

-We both turned 27 and that number makes me feel old, but I still feel 23ish!

- I was able to work w/ Andy and Kevin for a little bit and do pretty much the best job ever and bought my dream vehicle....an H3 fully loaded!

- Graduated College

- Moved to Oklahoma

- Celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary, being so busy with life on the ranch we couldn't do our usual weekend getaway at our honeymoon sweet, but opted to watch the most beautiful sunset ever while we were working and it was way better than our $600.oo honeymoon sweet, lol! And way more romantic! Anyone who has seen our sunset pic would have to agree!

- Have spent more at the Vet office this year than I have spent on myself at the Dr.'s office. Poor Duke got bit by a rattlesnake and I thought my heart was gonna fall out of my chest. That dog is special to both of us and it will be a sad, sad day in this house if anything ever happens to him. Poor Drake had a hard time adjusting to the dry weather here and had paw issues, lol!

- Had to adjust one more time to being away from family, but luckily we aren't 14 hrs away anymore.

- Have been hit twice with the word cancer. I had to hear the doctor tell my husband he has bladder cancer and realized I can be strong for the both of us when I need to be. I had to hear my stepmom tell me my dad had cancer on the phone and wishing it was me and not him.

- First time to witness 115 degree temperatures and then to witness -6 temperature all in the same year and place.

- Raising whitetail deer and bottle feeding some in our house that were to weak or sick to make it otherwise and watching them thrive because we took care of them.

-Being able to not only witness the most beautiful land ever created but also living on it and being reminded everyday how great our God is!

-Realized no matter how hard we try, somethings are just not meant to be.

- We had our first Christmas tree up and decorated.

- Loving/watching/teaching and enjoying every minute with 2 sweet babies that I actually look forward to seeing and can't speak a lick of English....yet!

-Walked across our first frozen lake and not being worried about falling through because it was soooo cold!

- Learning to enjoy the simple things in life.
