This was our second year as a married couple to spend Easter away from our families. Our first year of marriage we lived in Georgia and this year happens to be in Oklahoma. Although we didn't get to see our families we had a great Easter Day! When Cody fed the deer yesterday he gave them a little extra feed to last them till this afternoon so he could sleep in with me this morning! We went to church and came home and had lunch on our deck. The weather was perfect execpt halfway through our meal our food was getting a little crunchy from all the sand the wind was blowing around so we finished inside. Cody wanted a roast and potatoes so that is what he got! I also made a strawberry cheesecake and it was delicious! After lunch I helped Cody feed deer and it took forever because we needed to clean out their water. I got burnt:( I wish I didn't have such fair skin and burn so easily! I have dark hair!!!!! Why do I burn so easily?????
Gisella and Luis invited us over this afternoon to cook out steaks and fajitas and watch Jocelyn hunt eggs. It was fun! The best fajitas EVER!
Baby Luis is getting so big and he is the happiest child alive. We got them each a huge stuffed rabbit and he loved it, it was bigger than him! :)
We had a pretty great relaxing day and ate way to much. Gisella is off school tomorrow so I am kid free for one more day and can't wait to sleep in again! :) Hope everyone had an amazing day and we sure did miss everyone! It might have been a good thing we weren't in Van, since we always dominate in the egg hunt:)
Thank you for once again blessing my day!! Looks like ya'll had a wonderful Easter...from sleeping in, church, the beautiful meal out on the deck(the Strawberry cheesecake looks amazing!), Easter egg hunting with Jocelyn & Luis, and a cookout with friends. We missed ya'll so much, but looks like ya'll were a blessing to another family today. We definitely missed the tough competition in the egg hunt, there was very little body contact!! Love you both....have a great week!
