Deer Breeders Corp

This summer has been filled with lots of mini vacays for me and Jones while daddy mingles works. This weekend we are at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort in SA. It's almost as pretty as the JW Marriott plus only half the people!!!

Jones was beyond thrilled to get his own name tag, bag, shirt and pen. He felt important! Ha

We have swam our little hearts out this weekend. He went down his first adult slide all by himself. All 25ft of winding goodness! They have a lazy river that's a pool but it actually looks like a river!

Jones got the resting memo this weekend. When we are in our room he's been chilling with me in our robes. Not sure if he's worn out from school this week or misses his daddy cakes.

We enjoyed a movie out on a lawn. It was pretty comfy sprawled out during a movie and not having to sit in chairs!!

I wanted to hang out with Cody for a bit and visit. The deer breeders corp offered up a child room where u could drop your kids off. I was nervous dropping him off with strangers but the last night he wanted to go so I let him. They had pizza for dinner, made lots of fun things, had tattoos, had a magician had a zoo, petted a warthog, and sang his song "Kara Kara" during karaoke time. He had the best time and I got to enjoy adult time!! They also agave each kid a bible. It is the prettiest bible ever. I love the deer breeding community!

 

Back to the grind tomorrow. Next weekend starts hunting season. We will be busy with lots and lots of dove hunts!

10 years ago this sweet man asked me to be his wife. He took me on a little treasure hunt and we ended up in front of a game camera when he got on one knee.

This last year and a half has been the hardest. Spiritually and emotionally straight up draining. My joy started to fade. Sometimes things happen you have no control over but you still blame yourself. And in those times, in your lowest of lows you want to shut away the world and especially the person closest to you. This man anchored down, he straight up anchored down when he could have pulled away too. I can only pray that I have enough in me to anchor down when he needs me the way I needed him this last year. With lots and lots of prayer, many many tears, my joy is slowly but surely seeping back into my heart. So thankful God hand picked you for me. Just for me....... To do life with, to love whole-heartedly, uncondiontionally and so thankful for your heart that's made just for mine.

 

My love, my life, my everything good, thank you for always loving me.

First Day of preschool

Jones started school this year........ When did he get this big?

He has a great teacher and we love the school we decided on. They had a private school at the FBC that goes up to 8th grade.

We got a thumbs up after school!

We also got to move into our new house this week. I've been unpacking while Jones is at school and trying to get our house organized.

Cheers to a new school year and new beginnings and firsts!

Texas Deer Association

 

The TDA was at JW Marriott in SA. It was so much fun for Jones and I.

They had a big water park! We set up shop at. Kim came down to to watch Jones so I could join Cody some.

Jones ventured down to the convention some. He came down one night to meet Kevin Fowler. He was so exhausted.

The auction brought in a lot of money and G2 probably lead in the buying poll! We got lots of good genetics and lots of fawns at the auction.

End of summer is near

Our girl/family/sister/friend decided to move back to Michigan for awhile. We had one last hoorah in Austin before she left us. We relaxed, swam, pampered ourselves and ate good all weekend.

Daddy and Jones needed haircuts. After I did Jones' he asked if he could cut Cody's. I remember when I was little and always fascinated by cutting hair......and got in trouble for cutting my hair one time. So we let Jones butcher it before we shaved it all off! He was so happy!

Jones got his backpack in the mail........

 

We did some last minute school shopping in SA and Jones needed a foot rub while I pumped gas........

All the shopping wore this monkey out.

Fawn season has wore us all out. Cody never naps but has taken a nap on Sundays for a few weeks now. It's been greatness. Even Jones gets the chillin memo on Sundays.

Jones and Cody brought home a baby cotton tail one evening. I was so mad they took that baby away from his momma. I made them go take him back. Jones was so mad at me a cried and cried........

We finally got our house set up. It's been a long 5 months. Cody and Jones knocked over trees one night and cleared off all the stickers around the house. Hoping to move in soon!!!!!

Summer Happenings.

When Jones got home he brought some fresh zucchini home. We had so much of it I had to get creative. I made zucchini pancakes and omg that were good! Jones likes to help me cook and almost started crying when he saw me dump in two cups of zucchini in his precious pancake mix. He resisted a bit but then tried them. He loved them and didn't want syrup on them, ha!

We had some friends from Oklahoma come to Sea World for vacation. We met them for the day. It was nice to catch up.

CWD hit Texas this summer. This has affected a good number of breeders. Cody has gone to lots and lots of meeting trying to figure out our next step to take to get back to normal. He had a meeting in Austin early one morning so we went with him the night before and got a hotel. Jones and I got to play!

We ventured over to McKinney falls and found a neat watering hole. Watering holes are on up there with hotel living on my top things in life, ha.

Daddy got to meet us after his meeting for a little fun. We met Uncle a Josh for dinner then ventured home!
